In December 2001, CIA paramilitary operative Matt Garrett is mysteriously pulled from Pakistan as he closes in for the kill of Al Qaeda senior leadership and is reassigned to as low-profile mission in the Philippines. But as he sifts through the wreckage of a downed C-130 in the tangled jungle, he finds a dead U.S. Special Forces paratrooper who is not supposed to be there and is thrown into a contest of wits and resiliency in the uncharted rainforests of Mindanao.
A.J. Tata
graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1981 and currently serves as a Brigadier General in the U.S. Army. He has commanded paratrooper battalion in the 82nd Airborne Division and an air assault brigade in the 101st Airborne Division. Most recently he was the deputy commanding general of the 10th Mountain Division and Combined Joint Task Force-76 in Afghanistan.
